The following is a transcript (English portion) of the media session by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, after having a breakfast meeting with President Hu Jintao in Ha Noi, Viet Nam today (November 18):
Reporter: Did you hand over the petition from Ching Cheong's wife to President Hu Jintao?
Chief Executive: This is the matter of priority. I dealt with it very promptly as soon as I received the petition from Mrs Ching. Of course I would not be able to talk in detail what I've said between myself and the President.
Reporter: Just a follow up on that question. What's the reaction of him (President Hu)?
Chief Executive: As I said, it's not appropriate for me to talk in detail what I've said between myself and the President. What I said was it is a matter of priority for Hong Kong. And we have dealt with it expeditiously and will continue to do it, and would follow it through.
