The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (November 16) pursued one claim in the Small Claims Tribunal for some $16,000 on behalf of five employees, who were owed MPF contributions by their employer.

The defendant, Ng Ka Chi Amy & Lee Tat Mo trading as Mo Design Consultants, did not appear at today's hearing. In its absence, the Adjudicator ordered it to pay the MPFA the sum of $16,194.44, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable.
