The Labour Department will hold a job fair at Metro City in Tseung Kwan O on Wednesday (November 15), providing 2,700 vacancies for job-seekers.
Fifteen companies will set up counters at the job fair for on-the-spot recruitment, providing about 2,000 vacancies. In addition, another 18 companies will display information of some 700 vacancies at the venue for direct application by job-seekers.
The participating companies are from various industries which include retail, catering and property management. The vacancies cover positions such as salesperson, cashier, customer service officer, waiter/waitress, sales representative and assistant property management officer.
Other positions available are clerk, computer operator, technician, cook of various ranks, repair technician and managerial positions like shop supervisor, deputy restaurant manager and sales manager.
Most of the jobs offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will also conduct job-seeking registration for the job-seekers.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at L1 Atrium, Metro City Plaza II, Tseung Kwan O. Admission is free.
