Courtesy campaign at immigration control points (with photos)
******************************************************

The Immigration Department will launch its annual courtesy campaign next week.

A spokesman for the department said that the campaign, which aimed to encourage immigration control officers to deliver courteous and efficient service to the public, would be conducted from November 20 to 26 at the nine immigration control points.

"During the campaign period, travellers may cast their votes for the control officers who perform commendable immigration clearance services for them. Voters can get a ballot form from the immigration staff, fill in their own names, travel document or Hong Kong identity card numbers, and also the officer's name, and then insert their forms into the ballot boxes placed behind the immigration counters at the control point," the spokesman said.

"With the e-channel service available at the nine control points, e-channel users who find our staff helpful and courteous in assisting them to use the automated service may also vote for them, " the spokesman added.

The campaign will be publicised at the immigration control points during the voting period.

The Immigration Control Officer who gets the highest votes will be appointed Hong Kong Courtesy Ambassador by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
