The nomination period for the Election Committee Subsector Elections ended today (November 8) with 106 more nominations. It brought the total of nominations to 1,107, including 63 nominations submitted by the six designated bodies in the Religious Subsector.
The breakdown of nominations by subsectors can be found in the attachment. More information about these candidates can be found in the table to be uploaded to www.elections.gov.hk later.
The Returning Officers will rule on the validity of individual nominations in their respective subsectors. The names of all the validly nominated candidates in a subsector, and whether or not a poll will need to be held for that subsector, will be announced by Gazette notice.
