The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph W P Wong, today (October 30) expressed his warmest congratulations to the Hong Kong film ¡°After This Our Exile¡± for winning the Best Asian Film Award and the Award for Best Artistic Contribution in the 19th Tokyo Film Festival.
The film is produced by Vision Films Workshop Ltd, a local film production company, and the director is Mr Patrick Tam.
¡°I am aware that the competition this year is very keen. The two distinguished awards won by "After This Our Exile¡± clearly demonstrate the creative and artistic achievements of Hong Kong films in Asia as well as in the world.
¡°I would like to congratulate all the staff and the cast of the film for their devotion and creativity in making the film a success,¡± Mr Wong said.
