Bidders for the Lunar New Year Fair stalls must be at least 18 years old.

Anyone can bid for more than one stall. A successful bidder is required to pay the bid price of the stall at the fall of the hammer. Bidders who use dishonoured cheques or fail to pay the sum required immediately after the auction will be sued and recovery action on the bid prices in arrears may also be taken.

A successful bidder who fails to pay the sum required immediately after the auction will forfeit his or her right to the stall and the stalls concerned will be put up for re-auction immediately.

All fair sites will be made available three days in advance for the setting up of stalls from February 9 to 11.

In the event of any unforeseeable reasons that will cause a reduction of the whole fair period (including the duration for setting up and the fair), the first two days of the remaining period will be restricted to setting up of stalls by successful bidders. The bidding price paid shall be refunded to the successful bidder on a pro-rata basis.

Stall licensees must completely remove the stall structure and all paraphernalia, together with all refuse, debris and unsold commodities (whether damaged or otherwise), from the licensed area before 7am on February 18.

Stall licensees should not mutilate, destroy, damage or abandon any unsold commodities at or in the vicinity of the stall. They may surrender those unsold flowers and plants left behind at the stall to the department at no charge, cost or compensation whatsoever, before 7am on February 18.

Interested bidders wishing to seek more information can call the FEHD hotline at 2868 0000.
