Air-conditioning Supply at the HK City Hall affected

    The bursting of a seawater pipe of the Hong Kong City Hall this morning (October 21) has affected part of the air-conditioning supply of the Low and High Blocks of the Hong Kong City Hall.

     The air-conditioning supply at the Marriage Registry, the Newspapers and Periodicals Reading Room and Reference Library at the High Block and the URBTIX ticketing counter at the Low Block has not been affected.

     The air-conditioning supply at the Junior Library, Adult Library, Basic Law Library, Computer and Information Centre, Exhibition Gallery, Recital Hall and Maxim¡¯s restaurants have been affected but service nonetheless will remain normal.  

     Part of the air-conditioning supply at the Theatre and the Concert Hall has been affected. However, the ¡°Tat Wan Music Concert 2006¡± at the Theatre this afternoon will be held as scheduled.

     The arrangement for tonight¡¯s ¡°Rockson Piano (International) Concert¡± at the Theatre and the ¡®Maywa Denki (Japan) ¡ª Hong Kong Live 2006 Mechatronica¡¯ concert at the Concert Hall will be announced later today.

     Urgent repair work is being carried out by the related departments. The venue management apologises for any inconvenience caused to the public.
