**************************************************

The Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra will join National class one singer Chen Lingyu and gaohu soloist Yu Qiwei to present a "Cantonese Tunes" concert next month (November).

Different ensembles will showcase the many different facets of Cantonese music. The highlight will be the presence of the guest performers Chen and Yu who are renowned virtuosos in Cantonese song art and music.

The programme includes gaohu solo, Cantonese tune singing, ensembles, etc.

Yu Qiwei won a Class One Award at the National Chinese Music Experience Sharing Competition for Soloists in 1982 and the first Gold Disc Award in China in 1989.
