The Labour Department will hold a job fair at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, on Friday (October 20), providing 757 vacancies for job-seekers.
Nine companies from various industries, including catering, retail, property management and security, will participate in the event and offer 579 vacancies. The vacancies cover positions such as manager, shop supervisor, customer service officer, waiter, kitchen worker, security guard, warehouse keeper and cashier.
About 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time job, with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $9,000. A majority of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. More than 60% of them are open to job-seekers without relevant experience. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
In addition, the Yuen Long Merchants Association and the Yuen Long Branch of the Hong Kong New Territories Commercial and Industrial General Association will jointly set up a booth at the venue. They will offer more than 70 vacancies, including salesperson, beautician and cleaning worker, with their workplace in Yuen Long.
Special panels will also be mounted to display more than 100 vacancies solicited from other companies. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration as well.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at the ground floor, Cine Valley, Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, New Territories. Admission is free.
