The Government today (October 16) announced that the Chief Executive has re-appointed Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin as a member of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Directorate Committee) for a term of two years with effect from November 1, 2006.
The Chief Executive has also appointed a new member, Mr Nicky Lo Kar-chun, JP, to the Directorate Committee for a term of two years from November 1, 2006.
The Directorate Committee advises the Government on the establishment structure and matters relating to the pay and conditions of service concerning the directorate of the civil service.
The Government also expresses gratitude for the service of Mr Yeung Ka-sing, SBS, JP, who will retire on November 1, 2006, following six years' valuable contribution to the work of the Directorate Committee.
The Directorate Committee is currently under the Chairmanship of Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen, GBS, JP. Other serving members of the Directorate Committee are Dr Thomas Leung Kwok-fai, BBS, JP, Mr Tim Lui Tim-leung, JP, and Mr Henry Fan Hung-ling, SBS, JP.
