Men's health website design competition launched
************************************************

A website design competition to promote the message that "Men's health is closely related to their lifestyle" is being organised by the Department of Health to increase awareness about men's health in the community.

"The Men's Health Programme was launched by the department in 2002 to encourage men to adopt a healthy lifestyle for better health," a department spokesman said.

"Although the general health of Hong Kong men is satisfactory as reflected by various health indicators, some diseases are more prevalent in men, especially those related to unhealthy lifestyle and risky behaviours. The Men's Health website is one of the major channels to deliver related health information to the public," he said.

Local residents aged 18 or above can take part in the website design competition as an individual or in groups. Each entrant can submit only one design.

The prizes for the winner, first runner-up and second runner-up are worth $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.

Participants must submit website designs in CD-ROM or DVD-ROM together with the completed Entry Form to the Department of Health, Room 1859, 18/F Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, on or before December 15, 2006 and mark "Men's Health Website Design Competition" on the envelope.

More details about the Website Design Competition and information on men's health can be obtained at the Men's Health Website at http://www.hkmenshealth.com.
