Software Asset Management training seminar for SMEs

    The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a Software Asset Management Training Seminar on October 23 (Monday) to enhance SMEsĄŻ knowledge about software intellectual property. The seminar will also talk about how to safeguard their companies from legal risks associated with under-licensing or software infringement.

     Each attendee of the seminar will receive a training certificate issued by the Intellectual Property Department, Business Software Alliance and the Customs and Excise Department.

     Speakers include Director of Marketing (Asia) of Business Software Alliance, Mr Roland Chan; Senior Systems Manager of Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Kenneth Yeung Che-kuen; Solicitor of Intellectual Property Department, Ms Margaret Yu Kwok-wai; and Divisional Commander (Copyright Investigation) of Customs and Excise Department, Mr Koon Hon-chuen.

     The seminar will be held from 10am to noon at the Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau Station Exit B).It will be conducted in Cantonese/English with free admission. Interested parties are requested to register with SUCCESS in advance as seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
