Members of the public are invited to submit applications for some 2,000 newly built standard niches in the Columbarium of Cape Collinson Crematorium of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) from tomorrow (July 17) to July 31.
The charges for each standard niche and placing of a memorial plaque are $2,800 and $90 respectively.
Application forms are available at the FEHD's Cemeteries and Crematoria Offices on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon. They can also be obtained through fax or downloaded from the department's website (www.fehd.gov.hk).
Applicants can submit the completed application forms, together with the required documents, in person during office hours, or by mail or fax. Late applications will not be accepted.
The FEHD will conduct an open ballot by computer on August 22 (Tuesday) to prioritise the applicants.
The ballot results will be posted at the FEHD's Cemeteries and Crematoria Offices as well as on the department's website.
