Air-Conditioning Supply at HK Cultural Centre affected
******************************************************

The breakdown of Hong Kong Cultural Centre sea water pump today (July 8) has affected the air conditioning supply at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC), the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Space Museum (HKSM).

The Exhibition Gallery of HKSM and the "Chinese Jade and Gold" exhibition at the first floor of the HKMA will remain open to the public with free admission. The "Asia Society Summer Film Series" at the Lecture Hall of HKSM will be held as scheduled.

The HKSM Space Theatre and other exhibition galleries of HKMA will be closed today (July 8). Ticket holders of today's Omnimax Show at HKSM can have their tickets refunded at HKSM's Box Office within 14 days.

The Box Office, Exhibition Gallery, Marriage Registry and restaurants of HKCC provide normal services. The arrangement for tonight's concert by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra at the Concert Hall will be announced later today. Some of the hiring activities at the rehearsal rooms and practice rooms will be cancelled.

     Enquiries can be made on 2734 2009 (HKCC) or 2734 2722 (HKMA/ HKSM); or websites "hkculturalcentre.gov.hk", "hk.space.museum" or "hk.art.museum".

Urgent repair work is being carried out by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and the related departments.

The venue management apologises for any inconvenience caused to the public.
