"Not only do the awardees possess good personal integrity, their high regard for work safety and remarkable construction skills are also beyond doubt. The elevated culture for employees to strive for continuous improvement, lifelong learning and broadening of skills and knowledge within their own professional trade and industry is promoted through this event," Mr Lau said.

Since its launch in 2001, SUS has embraced 23 different designated industries. The scheme also aims to promote the continuing education and lifelong learning culture in the Hong Kong community.
