The Competition Policy Review Committee report on Hong Kong's competition policy is available from today (July 4) on the Economic Development and Labour Bureau website at www.edlb.gov.hk/edb/eng/info for public information.
The report contains the conclusions and recommendations of the committee following detailed consideration of issues related to competition policy in Hong Kong and a review of local and overseas practice.
The committee was appointed in June, 2005, by the Competition Policy Advisory Group (COMPAG), which is chaired by the Financial Secretary, to review the Government's competition policy.
The Government is carefully considering the recommendations of the committee, with a view to drawing up a public discussion document on the way forward for competition policy.
