Long service awards for 193 Immigration officers (with photo)

    A total of 193 members of the Immigration Department were awarded the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service insignia at a ceremony today (June 28) at Immigration Headquarters. The awards were presented by the Deputy Director of Immigration, Mr Chow Kwok-chuen.

     Acting Assistant Principal Immigration Officer (Border) Mr Sham Kin-fai and 86 other officers were awarded the first clasps to their medals for 25 years of dedicated service with the department.

     Eight officers were awarded the third clasps to mark 33 years of service and one officer was awarded the second clasp, marking 30 years of service.

     A total of 97 officers received the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medal, marking 18 years of service.

     Mr Chow said the awards honoured those with exemplary character and conduct who had given long and meritorious service as members of the Immigration Service. He congratulated all recipients and thanked them for their many years of loyalty and dedication to the Immigration Service.
