Note: The return of the fiscal reserves (except for the balances of the Loan Fund and the Capital Investment Fund) was linked to the performance of the overall Exchange Fund with effect from April 1, 1998.  The Government's share of the return achieved by the Exchange Fund under this arrangement is credited to the Government's accounts as a lump sum in March each year.  In other words, such arrangement is not applicable to the year of 1997-98.
