| Running at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum until February 26, next year, the exhibition, "Hong Kong's Popular Entertainment", reviews the changes in Hong Kong's major leisure activities and their relationship to political, economic, social and technological developments. This exhibit is a photo of a group of hikers wading across the sea at Kwun Mun, Sai Kung (High Island Reservior now) in 1971. With improvements in transport, accessibility of travel information and the promulgation of the "Country Parks Ordinance" in 1976, hiking activities and travelling to the countryside reached a peak in the the 1970s and 1980s. |
