The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (June 16) obtained an order for payment of outstanding MPF contributions at around $88,000 against an employer in the District Court.
The District Court today issued a judgement against one employer, Digitforce Interactive Design Studio Limited. The defendant was ordered to pay the MPFA the sum of $88,099.01, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to six employees of the defendant.
The amount awarded at the District Court will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as it is received by the MPFA. The District Court further awarded payment of $930 for the District Court case as cost in respect of the claim.
