Regarding the male ward in Pok Oi Hospital (POH) in which there were four patients presented with diarrhea symptoms, the spokesperson made the following announcement:
At as today (10 June), three more patients (age from 32 to 57£İin the same ward have presented with diarrhea symptoms. They have been transferred to isolation ward of Tuen Mun Hospital for further management. Together with the other four patients, all of the seven patients are in stable condition. One patient has recovered and discharged. The Norovirus tests for six of them are positive.
Admission to this ward has been suspended. Infection control measures have been stepped up in the ward. All patients are under close medical surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow up.
