The Secretary for Justice, Mr Wong Yan Lung, SC, briefed members of the Hong Kong Association Committee on legal developments in Hong Kong during a lunch in central London yesterday (June 8, UK time).
On the third day of his UK visit, Mr Wong also called on the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs, Lord Falconer, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Mike Gapes, and former Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Howe, among other officials.
Today (June 9, UK time) he will meet media representatives and deliver an address on Hong Kong's unique constitutional arrangement to the international affairs think tank, Chatham House, before flying back to Hong Kong.
