*********************************************************

Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe, the tour de force in the international acrobatic arena will bring a monumental production "Heroes" to Hong Kong this summer. Running from July 7 to 9 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium Arena, the show will open the "International Arts Carnival" (IAC) presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

"Heroes" is a showcase of Chinese heroic stars from different eras--the legendary Mulan, the warriors and horses of Emperor Qin, the lady generals of the loyal Yang family, Shaolin kung fu masters and many more. Comprising feats that pose a challenge to human skills and physical limits, it brings audiences a fresh and original experience.

The show has successfully amalgamated modern stage techniques with traditional acrobatic feats, including teeter board, pyramid of chairs, cycling acts, Chinese mast, trapeze acts and other stunts. It offers a feast for the eyes with scenes embellished by elegant dance, mesmerising lighting, beautiful music and colourful costumes, elevating Chinese acrobatics to a whole new level!?

Established more than 50 years ago, the internationally renowned Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe won many international awards, including the renowned "Gold Medal" at the 19th Rome Golden Circus Festival and the "Golden Clown" Award at the ninth Monte Carlo International Acrobatic and Circus Competition. For many years, the troupe has created highly innovative and entertaining acrobatic performances of the highest level of difficulty, achieving a unique combination of traditional Chinese acrobatics and Western aesthetics. The troupe has travelled to Europe, Australia, South America, North America, Africa and Asia, enjoying wide public acclaim.

"Heroes" will be performed at 8pm on July 7 and 8; and at 3pm on July 8 and 9 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium Arena.
