The Hong Kong Basketball Association (HKBA) and Hong Kong Playground Association (HKPA) will co-operate over the organisation of activities of the HKPA's Basketball Academy. The consensus was reached following meetings co-ordinated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
A spokesman for the department said today (May 25) he was glad that the two associations had exchanged views frankly and with an open mind.
Under the consensus, the playground association will seek discussions with the basketball association at an early stage on activities organised by the HKPA Basketball Academy, while the basketball association will provide registered coaches and technical advice when requested.
Both organisations also agreed to step up communication and jointly promote basketball in Hong Kong.
