The Returning Officer for the by-election in the Centre Street Constituency of the Central and Western District Council by-election has ruled that three of the four nominations received by the close of the nomination period were valid.
The Returning Officer, Miss Eliza Yau Kwai Chong, ruled one nomination is invalid on the grounds that there were fewer than 10 valid subscribers as required by the relevant law.
