The Returning Officer will rule on the validity of nominees' candidature shortly.
A briefing for the candidates and their agents will be held at the Central & Western District Council Conference Room in Harbour Building on Saturday (May 13). The Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission, Mr Justice Woo Kwok-hing, will chair the briefing and introduce the guidelines on election-related activities.
A representative from the Independent Commission Against Corruption will explain the Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Conduct) Ordinance. The Returning Officer and officials of the Registration and Electoral Office, Post Office and Department of Justice will also be present.
Voting will take place on Sunday, June 11. The successful candidate will fill a vacant seat of an elected member in the Central and Western District Council.
