| The 500-tonne Fireboat Alexander Grantham (AG) was towed from Tsing Yi dockyard to Quarry Bay for a lifting operation by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) today (March 10) at the boat's new permanent home in Quarry Bay Park. The lifting exercise is the first step in converting the fireboat, the biggest collection item of LCSD, into a gallery, which will be opened to the public. The picture shows the Fireboat AG being towed by two harbour tugs from Tsing Yi to Quarry Bay via Ma Wan, Northern, Central, Hung Hom and Eastern Fairway. |
