The Town Planning Board announced today (February 17) that the Chief Executive in Council had referred the approved Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan (OZP) back to the board for amendment.
The main amendment to the approved OZP is to rezone a site in front of the main entrance of Ocean Park from "Government, Institution or Community", "Road" and "Nullah" to "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Ocean Park" ("OU(Ocean Park)") to facilitate the redevelopment plan for Ocean Park. Amendments are proposed to the Notes for the "OU(Ocean Park)" zone by adding two Column 1 uses, namely "Public Transport Terminus or Station" and "Public Vehicle Park (excluding container vehicle)" to facilitate the proposed provision of public transport interchange and coach/car park within Ocean Park upon redevelopment.
The Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau OZP incorporating the amendments will be exhibited for public inspection under the provisions of the Town Planning Ordinance.
The Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau OZP was approved by the Chief Executive in Council on September 13, 2005.
