A spokesman for the Chief Executive¡¯s Office announced today (February 7) the appointment of Mr Andy Ho On-tat as Information Co-ordinator with effect from February 13.
Information Co-ordinator is responsible for formulating the public relations (PR) strategy for the introduction of major policies and programmes; co-ordinating the timetable for the launching of major policies and programmes of different bureaux and departments; and liaising closely with the Director of Information Services and Bureau Press Offices to ensure the effective implementation of PR strategy for major policies. As the PR adviser to the Chief Executive, Information Co-ordinator will also help plan and implement the Chief Executive¡¯s programme of public functions involving media interactions.
¡°We are confident that Mr Ho will bring his wealth of working experience in the media to the post and provide outstanding service¡± the spokesman said.
