The Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, announced today (January 20) that there would be one mail delivery during the coming Lunar New Year holidays from January 28-31, 2006.
Mr Chiang said that delivery would be on Saturday (January 28), the day preceding Lunar New Year's Day. All post offices would be closed during the holidays except Airport Post Office, General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office which will open on Saturday, January 28, for provision of a full range of counter services. The business hours will be from 9am to 2pm
Mr Chiang said there would be one mail collection on January 28 and another on January 31 from all street posting boxes except those located on outlying islands and in remote areas. No mail collection from posting boxes will be provided on January 29 and 30.
