Sha Tin Town Hall Open Day on January 15

    Sha Tin Town Hall will host an open day on next Sunday (January 15) from 2pm to 5pm, to let visitors enjoy a series of arts programmes. Admission is free.

     The opening ceremony will be held at the Town Hall Plaza at 2.15pm. There will be performances of a lion dance by Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial Secondary School, Chinese flute, erhu, pipa solos and several ensembles by the Tai Po District Chinese Orchestra and pop and folk songs by the Police Pop Music Club.

     Various groups will also give performances at the Auditorium and the Cultural Activities Hall. Attractions include musical, Chinese dance, jazz dance, orchestras, choir, choral speaking, Cantonese opera, Africa drum, drama, tai-chi, acrobatics and magic tricks.

     In addition, TNT Theatre will present "The Day of Soldier Crabs" at 3pm at the Exhibition Gallery. As one of the Sha Tin Cultural Festival Programmes, the drama tells the story of the soldier crabs and the famous Amah Rock of Sha Tin.

     Other activities include game stalls, clowns and a cartoon character parade. Visitors are welcome to share the fun of the day.
