The Labour Department will stage a recruitment forum at Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre on Thursday (January 5), providing 2,046 vacancies.
Fourteen companies mainly from the retail and catering industries will participate in the event. They will offer a total of 1,644 full-time and part-time job vacancies.
The vacancies cover positions such as shop manager, customer service assistant, store assistant, supervisor, restaurant manager/deputy manager, cook, waiter, cashier and cleaner.
Most of the full-time jobs offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Most of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. More than 70% of them are open to job-seekers without relevant experience. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
Another 402 job vacancies offered by other companies will be posted at the site. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot job registration as well.
The recruitment forum will be held from 11am to 5pm at Cultural Activities Hall, 2/F, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, 111 Shau Kei Wan Road, Hong Kong. Admission is free.
