"A Symphony of Lights" enhanced with fireworks on New Year's Eve
************************************************************

The Tourism Commission would like to remind both visitors and local residents that the new "A Symphony of Lights" will be enhanced with harbour fireworks again on New Year's Eve (December 31). Spectators can watch the new show along both the Hong Kong and Kowloon waterfront.

To fully experience the magic of light and sound, spectators are advised to watch the new show with the specially composed music. A public address system has been set up at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui and along the Promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai to broadcast the synchronised soundtrack during show each night.

The Tourism Commission also recommends that restaurants and hotels along the habourfront may provide their customers with a live broadcast of the soundtrack via radio by tuning in to FM 103.4 MHz (English), FM 106.8 MHz (Cantonese) or FM 107.9 MHz (Putonghua). Spectators may also listen to the soundtrack via their mobile phones by dialing 35-665-665 (English) or 35-665-668 (Putonghua).

Meanwhile, the photo competition for "A Symphony of Lights", jointly organised by the Tourism Commission and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, has already started. The competition is open to all. As "A Symphony of Lights" has been judged the world's largest permanent light and sound show by Guinness World Records, winners of the competition, apart from winning the fabulous prizes, may also have their entries to be shown in Guinness World Records publications and on its website. The closing date of the competition is 23 January 2006.

For enquiries about "A Symphony of Lights", please call the Tourism Commission at 2810 2555 or 2810 2770 during office hours or the Hong Kong Tourism Board's Visitor Hotline at 2508 1234 from 8am to 6pm daily.
