The Fire Services (Fire Hazard Abatement) Regulation has
come into effect. After a fire, Fire Services personnel may
take possession of related articles for analysis, take photographs
and make videos. They may also require related persons to
assist in the fire investigation.

In respect of fire hazard abatement actions, personnel may
request relevant persons to produce proof of identity immediately.
Anyone who fails to do so without reasonable excuse shall be
liable to a fine of $25,000.
