LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
GENERAL SITUATION


A DRY NORTHEAST MONSOON BROUGHT GENERALLY FINE WEATHER TO
THE COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THE WEATHER
WAS FINE AND DRY. IT WAS HOT IN THE AFTERNOON. THE RELATIVE
HUMIDITY OVER MOST PARTS OF THE TERRITORY FELL TO 50 PER
CENT OR BELOW. THE MONSOON WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT SOUTHERN
CHINA IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN
FROM THE EAST EARLY NEXT WEEK AND THERE WILL BE ONE OR TWO
RAIN PATCHES OVER THE COAST OF GUANGDONG.


 
BESIDES, TYPHOON KONG-REY WEAKENED INTO A TROPICAL STORM
PROGRESSIVELY YESTERDAY AND TRANSFORMED INTO AN
EXTRATROPICAL CYCLONE OVER THE EAST CHINA SEA AT NIGHT.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG


 
MAINLY FINE AND DRY. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT
23 DEGREES IN THE MORNING. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE
AROUND 29 DEGREES DURING THE DAY. BECOMING CLOUDY AT NIGHT.
MODERATE TO FRESH NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND AT FIRST.


 
OUTLOOK : SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
WINDY WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER MORNINGS IN THE MIDDLE AND
LATTER PARTS OF NEXT WEEK.
