HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


GENERAL SITUATION


THE NORTHEAST MONSOON AFFECTED THE COAST OF GUANGDONG
YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY CLOUDY. THERE WERE SUNNY
PERIODS DURING THE DAY. THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS EXPECTED
TO PERSIST OVER SOUTHERN CHINA IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
IT WILL BE BRIGHTER OVER THE REGION. BESIDES, SEVERE
TROPICAL STORM TRAMI WEAKENED PROGRESSIVELY INTO A TROPICAL
DEPRESSION YESTERDAY. ITS ASSOCIATED SHOWERS AFFECTED THE
WESTERN COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA YESTERDAY.


AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, TRAMI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 80
KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF DA NANG. IT IS FORECAST TO BE
SLOW-MOVING, LINGER OVER THE COAST OF CENTRAL VIETNAM AND
DISSIPATE GRADUALLY.
 
MEANWHILE, TROPICAL STORM KONG-REY WAS CENTRED ABOUT 1120
KILOMETRES EAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC.


WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG (MONDAY, 28 OCT 2024)


MAINLY CLOUDY. ONE OR TWO SHOWERS IN THE MORNING AND AT
NIGHT. SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL
RANGE BETWEEN 24 AND 29 DEGREES. MODERATE NORTH TO
NORTHEASTERLY WINDS, FRESH OFFSHORE AT FIRST.


OUTLOOK : SUNNY INTERVALS ON TUESDAY. BECOMING FINE AND DRY
IN THE MIDDLE AND LATTER PARTS OF THIS WEEK. THE
TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAY AND NIGHT WILL BE
RELATIVELY LARGE.
