TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
 
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
 
THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1 IS IN FORCE.
 
AT 10 P.M., SEVERE TROPICAL STORM TRAMI WAS ESTIMATED TO BE
ABOUT 710 KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF HONG KONG (NEAR 17.0
DEGREES NORTH 110.4 DEGREES EAST) AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-SOUTHWEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARD THE
COAST OF CENTRAL VIETNAM.
 
IN THE PAST FEW HOURS, TRAMI CONTINUED TO MOVE WESTWARDS
AWAY FROM HONG KONG. LOCAL WINDS WILL FURTHER SUBSIDE
OVERNIGHT. WHEN IT NO LONGER POSES A THREAT TO HONG KONG,
THE OBSERVATORY WILL CANCEL THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1.
 
WINDS WILL BE STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND TONIGHT
AND AT FIRST TOMORROW. THE OUTER RAINBANDS ASSOCIATED WITH
TRAMI WILL STILL AFFECT THE VICINITY OF THE PEARL RIVER
ESTUARY. SEAS WILL BE ROUGH WITH SWELLS. MEMBERS OF THE
PUBLIC ARE ADVISED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SHORELINE AND NOT
TO ENGAGE IN WATER SPORTS.

1. PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN. DRAINS SHOULD BE CLEARED OF
OBSTRUCTIONS, AND WINDOWS AND DOORS SHOULD BE CHECKED.
 
2. STRONG WINDS ARE STILL BLOWING OVER OFFSHORE WATERS.
SMALL VESSELS SHOULD REMAIN IN SHELTER AND PRECAUTIONS
SHOULD NOT YET BE RELAXED.
 
3. LISTEN TO RADIO, WATCH TV OR BROWSE THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY'S WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP FOR THE LATEST
INFORMATION ON THE TROPICAL CYCLONE.
