LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TRIGGERED BY HIGH TEMPERATURES
ARE AFFECTING INLAND GUANGDONG. BESIDES, A BROAD TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE IS BRINGING SHOWERS TO THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.


 
AT 10 P.M., TROPICAL STORM PULASAN WAS CENTRED ABOUT 60
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF SHANGHAI. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 22 KILOMETRES PER HOUR, EDGING
CLOSER TO THE COAST OF EASTERN CHINA.
 
TROPICAL STORM SOULIK HAS WEAKENED INTO A TROPICAL
DEPRESSION. AT 10 P.M., SOULIK WAS CENTRED ABOUT 390
KILOMETRES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF VIENTIANE. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE WEST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS LAOS AND
DISSIPATE GRADUALLY.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE ABOUT 28 DEGREES TOMORROW MORNING. SUNNY INTERVALS
DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 32
DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES HIGHER
IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVIER OVER SOME
AREAS WITH THUNDERSTORMS LATER. MODERATE EAST TO
SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : MORE SHOWERS OVER THE WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES WILL
FALL PROGRESSIVELY EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE TEMPERATURE WILL BE
AROUND 24 DEGREES ON MONDAY MORNING.
