OBSERVATORY.
A NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF GUANGDONG.
LOCALLY, THE WEATHER WAS EXTREMELY HOT, UNTIL 1:30 P.M.,
THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDED AT THE OBSERVATORY WAS
35.5 DEGREES, THE HOTTEST MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL EVER
RECORDED, ALSO THE HIGHEST SO FAR THIS YEAR. BESIDES, THE
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PART OF THE SOUTH
CHINA SEA IS INTENSIFYING GRADUALLY. A TROPICAL CYCLONE
APPEARS TO BE FORMING.
AT NOON, TROPICAL STORM PULASAN WAS CENTRED ABOUT 1430
KILOMETRES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 46 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC TOWARDS THE VICINITY OF THE RYUKYU
ISLANDS.
MEANWHILE, TROPICAL STORM BEBINCA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 240
KILOMETRES WEST-NORTHWEST OF NANJING. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES PER HOUR INLAND
OVER EASTERN CHINA AND DISSIPATE GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
EXTREMELY HOT WITH SUNNY PERIODS IN THE AFTERNOON. THE
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 35 DEGREES. BECOMING
CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS LATER.
