HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
AN ANTICYCLONE ALOFT IS BRINGING GENERALLY FINE AND VERY
HOT WEATHER TO THE COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA. LOCALLY,
TEMPERATURES OVER MANY PLACES ROSE TO 34 OR ABOVE DEGREES
IN THE AFTERNOON.
AT 4 P.M., SEVERE TROPICAL STORM YAGI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 330
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF DONGSHA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND INTENSIFY
GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
BECOMING CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE ABOUT 28 DEGREES TOMORROW MORNING. VERY HOT WITH
SUNNY PERIODS DURING THE DAY WITH A MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF
AROUND 33 DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF
DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. A FEW SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS LATER. LIGHT TO MODERATE NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN GRADUALLY LATER TOMORROW. THERE WILL
BE SWELLS.
OUTLOOK : THE WEATHER WILL DETERIORATE ON THURSDAY AND
FRIDAY. WINDS WILL FURTHER STRENGTHEN PROGRESSIVELY. THERE
WILL BE HEAVY SQUALLY SHOWERS. SEAS WILL BE ROUGH WITH
SWELLS. THE WEATHER WILL STILL BE UNSETTLED OVER THE
