HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


GENERAL SITUATION


A SOUTHWESTERLY AIRSTREAM BROUGHT HOT AND SHOWERY WEATHER
TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY
CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS. THERE WERE MORE SHOWERS AT FIRST. ABOUT 10
MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE GENERALLY RECORDED OVER THE
TERRITORY, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 30 MILLIMETRES OVER
PARTS OF THE NEW TERRITORIES. IT WAS HOT WITH SUNNY
INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. THE SOUTHWESTERLY AIRSTREAM WILL
CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE COAST OF GUANGDONG TODAY AND
TOMORROW. WITH THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE STRENGTHENING
GRADUALLY, THE WEATHER WILL BECOME FINE OVER SOUTHEASTERN
CHINA THIS WEEK, AND IT WILL BE PERSISTENTLY VERY HOT.


WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG (MONDAY, 1 JUL 2024)


MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 28
DEGREES. VERY HOT WITH SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. THE
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 33 DEGREES. MODERATE TO
FRESH SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND
ON HIGH GROUND.
