A COLD FRONT IS MOVING ACROSS THE COASTAL AREAS OF
GUANGDONG, BRINGING RAINY WEATHER TO THE REGION. UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF THE SUBSEQUENT NORTHEAST MONSOON, TEMPERATURES
THIS AFTERNOON OVER INLAND GUANGDONG WERE FOUR TO FIVE
DEGREES LOWER THAN THOSE OF YESTERDAY.
AT 4 P.M., TROPICAL STORM SANBA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 90
KILOMETRES NORTHWEST OF HAIKOU. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST SLOWLY, LINGERING OVER THE VICINITY OF
LEIZHOU PENINSULA AND BEIBU WAN AND WEAKEN GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW RAIN PATCHES. SLIGHTLY COOLER WITH
A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 21 DEGREES IN THE URBAN
AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES LOWER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES
TOMORROW. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 24 DEGREES.
MODERATE TO FRESH NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND.
OUTLOOK : SLIGHTLY COOLER WEATHER WILL CONTINUE ON SUNDAY
MORNING, SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. MAINLY FINE, DRY
