A FRESH TO STRONG NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE COAST
OF GUANGDONG. MEANWHILE, A BAND OF CLOUDS IS BRINGING
SHOWERS TO THE REGION AND THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH
CHINA SEA. LOCALLY, TEMPERATURES OVER THE TERRITORY AROUND
NOON WERE GENERALLY ABOUT FOUR DEGREES LOWER THAN THOSE OF
YESTERDAY.
THE TROPICAL STORM TO THE SOUTH OF HAINAN ISLAND WAS NAMED
SANBA. AT 4 P.M., SANBA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 100 KILOMETRES
WEST-SOUTHWEST OF SANYA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE
VICINITY OF BEIBU WAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. SHOWERS WILL BE MORE FREQUENT AT
TIMES WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. FRESH EASTERLY WINDS,
STRONG OFFSHORE AND OCCASIONALLY UP TO GALE FORCE ON HIGH
GROUND AT FIRST.
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS TOMORROW. STILL A FEW RAIN PATCHES IN THE
