HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
A FRESH TO STRONG NORTHEAST MONSOON AFFECTED THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE SUNNY INTERVALS.
THERE WERE ONE OR TWO SHOWERS AT NIGHT. THE NORTHEAST
MONSOON WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE COAST OF GUANGDONG
TODAY AND TOMORROW.
BESIDES, THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA NEAR VIETNAM INTENSIFIED INTO A
TROPICAL DEPRESSION YESTERDAY. AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, THE
TROPICAL DEPRESSION WAS CENTRED ABOUT 150 KILOMETRES EAST
OF DA NANG. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10
KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE VICINITY OF BEIBU WAN. ITS
OUTER RAINBANDS WILL AFFECT THE COAST OF GUANGDONG TODAY
AND TOMORROW. IT WILL BE COOLER OVER THE REGION.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. SHOWERS WILL BECOME MORE
FREQUENT GRADUALLY WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 23 AND 26 DEGREES. FRESH
EASTERLY WINDS, STRONG OFFSHORE AND OCCASIONALLY UP TO GALE
FORCE ON HIGH GROUND AT FIRST.
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS ON THURSDAY. SHOWERS WILL BE MORE
FREQUENT AT FIRST. STILL A FEW RAIN PATCHES IN THE
FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
