HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
AN ANTICYCLONE ALOFT IS BRINGING MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT
WEATHER TO SOUTHERN CHINA. LOCALLY, TEMPERATURES
OVER MOST PARTS OF THE TERRITORY ROSE TO 33 DEGREES OR
ABOVE IN THE AFTERNOON.
TROPICAL STORM KOINU HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A SEVERE TROPICAL
STORM. AT 4 P.M., KOINU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 920 KILOMETRES
EAST-NORTHEAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST
AT ABOUT 12 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS EAST OF THE
PHILIPPINES AND INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
CLOUDY PERIODS OVERNIGHT. ONE OR TWO SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 28 DEGREES TOMORROW MORNING.
MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 33 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH
EAST TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE.
OUTLOOK : PERSISTENTLY VERY HOT WITH SUNNY PERIODS AND ONE
OR TWO SHOWERS IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. WEATHER
