HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE BROUGHT HEAVY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN PART OF THE
SOUTH CHINA SEA YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE SUNNY
INTERVALS, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS WERE HEAVY AT
NIGHT. MORE THAN 40 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED
OVER MANY PLACES, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 100
MILLIMETRES OVER SAI KUNG AND SHA TIN. THE TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BRING HEAVY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO SOUTHERN CHINA AND THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA TODAY. WITH THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE
WEAKENING, SHOWERS WILL LESSEN AND THE WEATHER WILL IMPROVE
OVER THE REGION IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE
BETWEEN 25 AND 29 DEGREES. MODERATE EASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY FRESH OFFSHORE.
OUTLOOK : STILL A FEW SHOWERS AND SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
