LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
GENERAL SITUATION


UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE, THE LOCAL
WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
YESTERDAY. SHOWERS WERE HEAVY IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT.
MORE THAN 50 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER
MANY PLACES, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 150 MILLIMETRES
OVER PARTS OF HONG KONG ISLAND AND KOWLOON. THE TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BRING HEAVY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO SOUTHERN CHINA AND THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG


 
CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE
BETWEEN 25 AND 28 DEGREES. MODERATE EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY
WINDS, OCCASIONALLY FRESH OFFSHORE.


 
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON SATURDAY. STILL A
FEW SHOWERS AND SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF
DAYS.
