HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS BRINGING HEAVY RAIN AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE PEARL RIVER ESTUARY. LOCALLY, AROUND
300 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED UNTIL NOON TODAY,
AND THE RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 500 MILLIMETRES OVER THE
EASTERN AND SOUTHERN PARTS OF HONG KONG ISLAND.
AT NOON, TROPICAL STORM YUN-YEUNG WAS CENTRED ABOUT 330
KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF TOKYO. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE
VICINITY OF HONSHU OF JAPAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
CLOUDY WITH HEAVY RAIN AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS. RAIN WILL
EASE OFF GRADUALLY LATER. MODERATE EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY
WINDS.
