BANDS OF INTENSE RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
OVER THE SOUTH OF THE PEARL RIVER ESTUARY THIS MORNING AND
MOVE TOWARDS THE TERRITORY, BRINGING FREQUENT HEAVY RAIN.
FROM 3:30 A.M. TO 5:30 A.M., MORE THAN 90 MILLIMETRES OF
RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER MANY PLACES IN THE URBAN AREAS.
AT 5 A.M., TROPICAL STORM YUN-YEUNG WAS CENTRED ABOUT 370
KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF TOKYO. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTH
OR NORTH-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 22 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS
THE VICINITY OF HONSHU OF JAPAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY
CLOUDY WITH HEAVY RAIN AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS. RAIN WILL
EASE OFF GRADUALLY LATER. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE
